Baby Bliss Challenge!

If you've been following my blog or my Instagram, you may have noticed that my nails suddenly went from long claws to baby nubs. About 5 weeks ago I broke a nail all the way to the skin, so I've been recovering from that! I decided to make updates every week after I filed them all down so that you could all see how amazing the products are that I use, if you have yet to try them.

I posted about both Bliss Kiss Oil and Sweet Baby by Donna in my Nail Care Routine post several months back, but many of you might not really understand how amazing these products are - especially when combined. I've been using them for quite a while, so I can tell personally how much my nails and cuticles have improved, so this is for those of you who don't see my nails every day! A few of the ladies I follow on Instagram (including Donna of Sweet Baby by Donna herself) have begun combining these two products and using them daily, so I decided to try the same. The results were so fantastic, I figured I should make a blog post to share it with you all! I tried to keep the conditions in the pictures as similar as possible so it was easier to see the changes, but there are some minor differences. Sorry in advance!

Day 1:

I took this picture on July 25, 2014 - a couple days after I finally filed all of my nails down. As is obvious (to me, at least) from this picture, my middle finger nail was the one that broke so it is actually beyond a nub at this point. Starting from this date, I began applying a mixture of Sweet Baby by Donna and Bliss Kiss as often as I could. The mixture that I used was roughly 50/50, I just showed both of the products separately in this picture. On days that I didn't work, I didn't wear polish and just applied this throughout the day whenever I had a few minutes to let it absorb. When I had to work, I wore polish to make sure that none of my nails broke again.

Day 7:

I took this picture on August 1, 2014. After a week of using only these products, my nail had almost grown past my finger! I was pretty excited about this. At this point, I wasn't filing my nails at all because I didn't really bother shaping them at this length. As before, I spent all down time applying the mixed oils.

Day 14:

I took this picture on August 8, 2014. A few days before I took this, I began shaping my nails into little stilettos. So for all following pictures, keep in mind that I've been filing my nails to keep this shape! They did actually grow a little longer than this, but I kept filing them to this shape.

Day 21:

I took this picture on August 15, 2014. As before, I've still been filing my nails, but they've now grown far past my skin so they actually look like points! Yay! Still not back to the claws, but they're getting there. At this point, I was on my summer vacation from class, so I had a lot of down time to do as much nail care as possible.

Day 28:

I took this picture on August 22, 2014. This is the most updated picture of my nail length, as it was taken last Friday. This is after only one month of using nothing but Baby Bliss (the combination of Bliss Kiss and Sweet Baby by Donna). By that I mean that I didn't use Nail Envy as my base coat, I didn't take any Biotin, and I used no other nail care products except for lotion and polish itself. My nails are still growing out to the length that I want them to be, but they've grown so quickly! I can't promise anyone will get the same results as I have since there's no way to know how much of it is related to body chemistry or the unusual amount of free time that I had in this time period, but I definitely recommend these products.

DISCLAIMER: I purchased all of these items myself and I'm sharing this because I use them exclusively and love them! You can purchase them at the following sites if you're interested.

  1. Oh! I want! My cuticles always need love. I have a good problem I suppose-my hair and nails seem to naturally grow SUPER SUPER fast.

How does the "crisp" scent of the Bliss Kiss smell? Just curious! :) Or did you buy unscented?

    1. I have Crisp! I can give you a pen next time I see you if you want to try it out, I really love it. I don't really know how to explain the smell, it reminds me of pine trees, but that's not really how it smells? haha I think I'm just weird.
