Nvr Enuff Polish - The Light Collection Review! (Picture Heavy)

I have a rather long post for you today! If all goes as planned, it will be the first of several posts...I'm so behind! For those of you who don't know, I'm taking summer classes so I can get into a Human Development program at the University of Washington...They have been much harder than anticipated and are taking up all my time :( But! I planned accordingly this weekend so I have all day for laundry and blogging, yay! Anyway, on to the nail polish.

I AM SO HAPPY to be sharing this with you guys. Several weeks back, Lynnae of Nvr Enuff Polish contacted me and asked if I would like to be one of the swatchers for their first collection. Like, are you kidding me?! Her and Alix (the other half of the brand) are two of the sweetest (and extremely talented!) girls I've met on Instagram. I was beyond flattered that they even considered me! Needless to say, I jumped at the chance.

So here is a super-cool breakdown of their first collection - the Light Collection! These polishes were all based off of the lighting during different times of day, and well, they're fantastic. For all of these, I'll have a bottle shot, a wide and close up view in the sun, and a wide and close up view in the shade...Yes, I went a little overboard, but they need to be seen in all sorts of lighting to understand their beauty. Let's get started, shall we?

"Apres-Midi, French for 'Afternoon', is a bright and vibrant light blue creme base with a subtle linear holo, holo gold dust, AND a blue/green shift flake while in the shade. Full coverage in one coat, opaque in two. Part of the light collection, this polish is based on the bright blue of the clear afternoon sky."

Hoooooly goodness me, this is probably in the top ten polishes ever for me now. This polish was designed PERFECTLY. I mean, does that not remind you of the afternoon sky? But I digress, let's get to swatches, shall we?

For this swatch, I did two perfect coats on all fingers except my accent. My accent nail has two coats of "Love. Angel. Music. Baby." (OPI) and one coat of "Apres-Midi" over it. I used the chevron vinyl from the swatching kit that they sent me! (See how sweet they are?) I chose gold so you could see more of the scattered gold holo in there - because holy crap. It is everywhere. Even when I was inside it was just glowing at me! This had amazing application, it could probably even be opaque in one careful coat, but two was just perfect. The dry time was, as expected, also perfect! I had no problem putting on top coat a couple minutes after application.

"Matin, French for 'morning', is a fresh light grey creme base with a subtle but gorgeous linear holo, and a blue/green shift flake while in the shade. Full coverage in one coat, opaque in two. Part of the light collection, this polish is based on the grey/blue of the brisk morning."

Matin. This polish absolutely kills me. I have an unreasonable number of both grey and blue polishes...okay, so let's jam them together?!? Yes please. I wish my swatches captured the blue flakies better, but at least you can see them in the bottle!!

For all of these swatches, I did two coats of "Matin" alone. My middle finger has some random lines of "Mega" (ILNP Brand) just for a little holo flair on it. This is one of those polishes that is so hard for me to capture with this camera! It looks nice in pictures, but it's the kind of nice that's like "Oh yeah, if I was on vacation and I saw that I might try to pick some up if I had spare change." But what it says in real life is like "I SAW SOMEONE WEARING THIS COLOR AND I MURDERED THEM AND STOLE IT BECAUSE LOOK AT IT." I know it's an odd metaphor, but that's what it looks like to me. It's just absolutely unique and stunning in person. Anyway, this was the toughest application, but by no means bad. The polish is a little thick due to all of the flakies and love, so you just have to be careful how much you put on the brush. Still, two coats were done easily with no problems. The dry time was equally amazing!

"Moonstone is a reflective pigment topper. Best used over dark colors, but opaque in 3-4 coats. Moonstone is crazy reflective in low lighting and direct flash, attracting any light that may bounce off of it."

Okay, just breathe, guys. This polish. It will be the death of me. I will spend the rest of my life trying to convince people how stunning it is in person. Like before, the pictures are nice, but NO WHERE NEAR REAL LIFE. Moonstone reflects soooo much, I literally might get in a car accident just by staring at this while driving. This one is going to be especially picture heavy since I also have a picture with flash and a short video. Sorry!

This polish is just. Like. Okay. I've said it before, but this is the best mental image I can give you guys. Imagine you painted your nails with nail glue, punched your hand through a mirror, and got a bunch of microscopic mirror shards glued to your nails. That is what this is. It's very reflective and just UGH. Amazing. For all pictures: my pinky and pointer finger both have one coat of "Moonstone" over one coat of "Camelot" (A England), my middle finger has one coat of "Moonstone" over two coats of "King Arthur" (A England), my thumb has one coat of "Moonstone" over two coats of "Black Hole" (Stardust Polish), and my ring finger is three coats alone. For the video, I wanted to show the difference between "Moonstone" and a holo top coat. Shown here is all nails with one coat of "Camelot." My ring finger has "Holo At Me" (Jior Couture" while all other nails show "Moonstone."

"Coucher du Soleil, French for 'sunset', is a deep berry red jelly base with pink holo dots, small blue dots, and tons of fun hexes. Coverage in 2-3 coats. Part of the light collection, this polish is based on the deep red/berry/blue hues of the early evening."

Coucher du Soleil MIGHT be my favorite polish in this collection. It's honestly so hard because I really love them all. It's just so squishy and I love it. I want to bathe in it and make clothes from it and live in a house covered in it. Just all Coucher all the time. ANYWAY. Swatches.

Growing up on the West Coast, I've seen my share of sunsets that look exactly like this. Again, they nailed the inspiration perfectly! Even if this polish was designed on something awful and stupid, I would proudly wear it all of the time. It's so deep and squishy, you could get lost staring at the layers for forever. This is by far my most complimented polish. The day that I wore these to class and work, I had people asking me left and right where I got it from! Every nail was two perfect, squishy coats of great application. The glitters required no fishing, they were just jumping out of there. I love how evenly spread out they were! My ring finger also has some vinyl-created lines of "Lever du Soleil," which we will be seeing shortly.

"Lever du Soleil, French for 'sunrise', is a flaky rose gold topper that can build its own opaqueness in three thin coats. Use over dark colors to show off the flaky sparkle Lever du Soleil has to offer. Part of the light collection, this polish is based on the pink/gold of the morning light."

See, would I lie to you guys? Lever du Soleil is another absolute must-have in this collection. It's one of those priceless polishes that transforms every other polish you own. It's BASICALLY like doubling your entire polish collection. For less than $9? Not a bad deal!

This polish is absolutely bonkers. BONKERS, I TELL YOU. It shows up the most vividly over dark colors, but don't take that to mean that it doesn't look gorgeous over light colors or even by itself. In these pictures, I have one coat of "Lever du Soleil" over two coats of "Love. Angel. Music. Baby." on my thumb, three coats of "Lever du Soleil" alone on my pointer, one coat of "Lever du Soleil" over one coat of "Camelot" on my middle finger, one coat of "Lever du Soleil" over one coat of "I'm Not Really A Waitress" (OPI) on my ring finger, and one coat of "Lever du Soleil" over two coats of "Black Hole" on my pinky. Since this is a topper, it dries pretty darn quick from my experience. All the flakey goodness was pretty solid in just a couple minutes! Again, application was superb. My only warning with this is that it will inevitably get all over your hands, so be prepared to take off all of the gorgeous flakes! Or just leave them there. Start a new fashion statement, maybe?

"Soiree, French for 'evening', is a sexy dark navy blue jelly base with linear holo, all size silver holo hexes, silver holo stars, dots, and some hidden black holo stars. Full coverage in 2-3 coats. Part of the light collection, this polish is based on the dark deep blue of the night sky."

Soiree is one of the most gorgeous blues that I own. It has the strange quality of being both very deep teal and a very true navy color...I don't even know how. The quality of this polish is SO UNBELIEVABLE. I mean, this whole line is amazing, but I'll explain why this one astounds me specifically a little more below.

Okay, now to explain why this polish is so perfect. I mean, first of all, look at it. It's just delicious. But that last picture. The one named "MAGIC!" IT IS ONE COAT. Over two coats of "Apres-Midi." For those of you who polish lots of things, you know that most jellies, when put over a lighter color, will have some sort of darker and lighter areas after one coat. Jellies aren't designed to be super opaque, and this isn't, it's just so evenly applied that you can actually lighten the look of this polish by putting it over lighter colors. And it will apply perfectly. I'm sorry, that just amazed me. As for the rest of my nails, my pointer and pink fingers have one coat of "Soiree" over one coat of "Yoga-ta Get This Blue," my middle finger is two coats of "Soiree" alone, and my ring finger is one coat of "Soiree" over two coats of "Black Hole." As you may expect from that rant, this polish also had perfect application and dry time, big shock!

"Arc en Ciel Bleu, French for 'blue rainbow', is a super sparkly navy blue holo topper, but can be opaque in three coats. Part of the light collection, this polish is based on rainbows, and is a sister polish to Arc en Argent."

Oh hello, it's just me, THE FREAKING OCEAN IN A BOTTLE. Okay, so it wasn't based on the ocean, but it totally could have been. I'm pretty sure they de-scaled a mermaid for this one. (No mermaids were actually harmed in the making of this polish)

Would you look at that, my nails are basically mermaids. If I had Vanessa's (@mrslochness) mermaid scale stamp, you bet your cheesecake it would have gone on these babies. This is one of those polishes that you can spend hours staring into and not even realize it. It has so much depth, even after one coat, that you just can't look away. My thumb has one coat of "Arc en Ciel Bleu" over two coats of "Apres-Midi" to show how it looks over a lighter color, my pointer and pinky are both one coat of "Arc en Ciel Bleu" over one coat of "Yoga-ta Get This Blue" (OPI), middle is one coat of "Arc en Ciel Bleu" over one coat of "January 2014" (Enchanted Polish), and my ring finger is three coats of "Arc en Ciel Bleu" alone to show how it builds up. Again, just wow. Their first collection, and still perfect application and dry time! These girls are witches, I tell you! The super sweet and super pretty kind, though.

"Arc en Argent, French for 'silver rainbow', is a super sparkly silver holo topper, but can be opaque in three coats. Part of the light collection, this polish is based on rainbows, and is a sister polish to Arc en Ciel Bleu."

Okay, I lied. Arc en Argent is my favorite. Because RAINBOWS. ON YO FANGAS. I may have had too much caffeine today, no judging. Again, I could put this over everything I own. In fact, I basically plan to. It's up there with Supernatural Lacquer's "We Kill the Sparkly Ones For Free." And if you know me, THAT IS SAYING A LOT. Okay, okay, now swatches, you impatient youngsters.

Do I even need to talk about this one? I don't think so. Now you see why it's my favorite. RAINBOW SHARDS. I couldn't even wear this to work because I literally would not get anything done. Like, "Excuse me customers, I'm busy looking at THE RAINBOWS ON MY HAND, PLEASE GO AWAY." But I digress again, this polish is just. Just perfect. So amazingly glitterful (yes, that's a word). I used one coat of "Arc en Argent" over one coat of "Camelot" on my thumb, one coat of "Arc en Argent" over two coats of "Mega" on my pointer finger, one coat of "Arc en Argent" over two coats of "Black Hole" on my middle finger, one coat of "Arc en Argent" over two coats of "Lady of the Lake" (A England) on my ring finger, and two coats of "Arc en Argent" over two coats of "Mega" on my pinky to show how it would look alone. This is so jam-packed with glitter, as with all of these polishes, there is no fishing or fighting for a gorgeous look. Application and dry time - amazing, big shock.
