Nvr Enuff Polish - Unidentified Flying Holo Review!

I've been avoiding this blog post for so long since I wanted to have sun shots for such magnificent holo polishes, but I don't want to let it sit on the back burner for so long that I forget to do it! So hopefully someday soon I'll have sun pictures to add to it, but for now I have some pretty good indoor pictures to show off all of the beautiful holos that the ladies of Nvr Enuff cooked up.

As I've said before, I love collections this size! They don't break the bank, you accumulate fewer untrieds, and the quality is always just perfect! After hosting a "name this polish" giveaway for a holo topcoat, Lynnae and Alix fell in love with one of the names that didn't win (UFH - Unidentified Flying Holo) and decided to create a collection just because of the name. That's the kind of awesome customer-to-creator relationship that I love with them! Not to mention that it spawned this collection. Let me just say before I start, all of the swatches below have no top coat. They all have very little clean up required, if any. These polishes are overall some of the best quality polishes that I own. Just a fair warning!

Silver/gold holo

I don't even know what to classify Interstellar as since it doesn't really match any of my silver or gold polishes, but I most definitely love it! It's the sheerest of the set, but still builds opacity very well and would probably be great for sandwiches or even as a topper.

I just want to sit here and stare at my screen, it looks so beautiful! For this mani, I used two coat on my thumb, three coats on my pointer finger, one coat over two coats of Glitzerland (OPI) on my middle finger, and sandwiched it with This Looks Like Fun! (also Nvr Enuff) on my pinky. My ring finger is three coats of Godiva from Zoya and the little heart charm is from @charminglysimplenailart on IG. As I said before, this one was a little thin but still built up opacity very quickly and applied very evenly.

Cranberry red holo

Oh my gooooodness, Cosmic is probably one of my all-time favorite polishes or things of any sort on the planet. The opacity is amazing, the color is perfect, the clean up is not even a thing...I could go on forever.

This color is just so perfect for everyday wear, holidays, just any possible reason ever to put this on. I used one coat on my thumb, two on my pointer, one coat over one coat of Velvet Rope (Color Club) on my middle finger, and one coat over one coat of You Don't Have Claws At All (also Nvr Enuff) on my pinky. My ring finger is two coats of Chyna from Zoya and the charm is from @charminglysimplenailart again.

True black holo

I say "true black" because I've gotten black holos before and been a bit disappointed since the holo used by the maker tends to make the polish lean more towards grey, but Meteoric is a stunner. Not only does it truly look black to me, it's without a doubt the most opaque black holo that I've ever seen. Carefully applied, it could even be a one-coater. Yowza.

I can't even begin to describe my experience with this polish since I was so surprised by it on so many fronts! In short, it's the perfect black holo. That about sums it up. For one, the opacity is off the charts, the holo dusting is just perfect, and there's no staining/clean up issues. I can't gush about it enough! By the way, did I mention that none of the polishes on this post have top coat at all? Yeah, they're all that glossy and perfect by themselves. I used one coat on my thumb, two coats on my pointer finger, one coat over one coat of Camelot (A England) on my middle finger, and sandwiched it with Making Christmas (also Nvr Enuff) on my pinky. My ring finger is two coats of Dahlia from Zoya and the charm is also from @charminglysimplenailart on IG.

Navy blue holo

What's this, another perfect blue? Extraterrestrial is really just that. It's an alien. This can't be people technology. Another shockingly pigmented masterpiece, this beauty just has to be seen to be believed. And even then, I still don't believe that it's a thing that exists (and I own it???).

I used one coat of this beauty on my thumb, two coats on my pointer finger, one coat over one coat of Yoga-ta Get This Blue (OPI) on my middle finger, and one coat over one coat of Iolite (also Nvr Enuff) on my pinky. My ring finger is three coats of Nyx from Zoya and the charm is again from @charminglysimplenailart on IG.

Nvr Enuff Polish - Fright Night Review!

Keeping in typical Allison fashion, I'm about two months late for this post, but I promise it'll still be a good one! As I mentioned in an earlier post, I got really weighed down with life and school this semester so my blog posts have been at the back of my mind. But let's forget about that, shall we? It's almost a new year, which means more blog posts! If all goes as planned, I actually have two to post tonight and one tomorrow. I'll be all caught up! 

First up in my blog fest is the Fright Night collection from Nvr Enuff Polish! Obviously this was intended to be a Halloween/scary movie collection, but as with all of their polishes, I really think you could wear them at any point in the year and they'd look just wonderful.

I love that they always have fairly small collections like this! It makes it much easier for everyone to be able to purchase the whole collection, for one, and it ensures that they focus on the quality and details of every little polish. (Which, I promise you, they do!)

Cobalt blue jelly with lots of fun glitters and happiness

First up in this party is Requiem For A Dream. I quite possible have more blues in my collection than any other color, and yet this was so very hard to match for layering! As frustrating as that is for my OCD, it's so amazing to see these ladies create yet another unique blue for my collection. And boy, is this one a doozy!

What did I tell you?! Requiem For A Dream was just so yummy I wanted to die. Sadly the sun was gone before I finished this swatch, so there's no glorious sun pictures, but it looks so good in any lighting that it doesn't really matter! As with all of their polishes, this beauty dried very fast and had an amazingly easy application. For this mani, I used two coats alone on my thumb, pointer, and pinky fingers, one coat over Yoga-ta Get This Blue (OPI) on my middle finger, and one coat over Camelot (A England) on my ring finger. I also mattefied (mattified?) my pointer finger because DUH? It looks so amazing matted! I also hand painted a little syringe on my ring finger to go along with the Requiem For A Dream theme.

Next up is The Shining. As you might expect, this one is also horrifyingly perfect! These ladies will never cease to amaze me with their ability to make such pigmented polishes that still leave no stains and are just a breeze to put on. But to the swatches!

Unfortunately since this is such a bright red, it made my camera explode and washed out my skin a lot which threw off the color of the polish as well. But you can still see how pretty it is! As always, the application for this was just wonderful. Despite being a juicy jelly polish, it only took two coats to get this opacity and they both dried very quickly. On top of that I did some black "blood?" drips using Camelot (A England) and mattefied every other nail because you're supposed to matte jellies! Definitely a must-have polish for me, as with every other one they make...

Baby blue creme with small glitters and glows in the dark!

Donnie Darko has to be my favorite of this collection just because I can't get enough glow in the dark polishes! Not to mention it's sheer perfection anyway...I'm gonna go ahead and describe this as "electric baby blue," because that's really what it feels like to me. It's full of delicious flakies and glitter and I just can't possibly say more nice things about it!

GITD

What did I tell you?! Again, another perfect blue. The most surprising thing about this polish to me was how easy it was to apply even though it was GITD. Every GITD polish I've ever gotten has been just a horrible experience to get on and off (although usually worth it because I love glowy), but I didn't have nearly those problems with Donnie Darko. The consistency was still a little bit thicker than normal since there were GITD pigments, but it was still pretty easy to work with. I used three coats on all nails and attempted to draw a little bunny on my ring finger, but he sort of looks like an alien.

I'm gonna be honest with you, Valley of the Dolls was only second on my list for this collection because it didn't glow in the dark. Despite having had pink hair in the past, I'm not really a huge pink polish fan because it's generally so boring to me, but I abso-freaking-lutey love this polish. It went on so smooth, the glitters distributed so evenly, and it was just overall perfect. I kind of want to go put it on right now after thinking about it so much.

This shade of pink looked amazing with my skin tone, applied so smoothly, and was just overall fantastic, as I've said. I used two coats of Valley of the Dolls on all nails except my accent which was a base of Alpine Snow (OPI) and some pills! I also dotted some of Valley of the Dolls and Rescued (Pure Nail Polish) around the pills. This whole collection was a stunner, but I think I can see myself using this polish the most. It dried so quickly and required no clean up so it's great for last minute manis, not to mention the color scheme of it works really well for so many occasions! (Namely Valentine's and BCA)

Nvr Enuff Polish - Minerals Rock! Collection Review!

I now have dark chocolate peanut butter cups from Trader Joe's, so I apologize in  advance if this post is even more sugar-filled than normal! For my next blog post, I have what is probably my favorite collection from Nvr Enuff or any other thing on the planet ever. The Minerals Rock! Collection resonated with me early on since I collected rocks when I was little and it just reminded me of that. And then I saw the actual polishes and I was like "WHAAAAT?" They're so amazing. So without further sugar-induced ranting, here we go!

Needless to say just from these pictures, this collection is just perfect. The colors really work for fall, but are still very easily transitioned into other seasons. One of my favorite things about Nvr Enuff is that they create polishes that mean something to them, not necessarily ones that "fit the season." Mind you, that's by no means a knock on any indie or mainstream brands that have seasonal collections - I love them as well! I just always enjoy not being able to guess what these ladies will come up with next!

Star Garnet is first up in this collection because these ladies never fail to give me another unique red! This cranberry-toned red/magenta/purple is so hard to categorize because it just transcends real life. It has the perfect dusting of holo glitters and it just looks like Thanksgiving dinner to me. (My grandma makes the best mashed potatoes ever - Hi Grandma!)

Sorry for the random cat hair in the first picture, my cat was lounging in the sun as I went outside to take pictures and he just needed some snuggles. But on to the polish! It is magnificent. I'm sure you're surprised by this, but I promise it is perfect. This was two amazing coats on all nails and top coat. I tried to think of some nail art to do with this, but I really couldn't imagine not having this beauty on every nail that I own. I do absolutely plan on using it during the holidays though, it just seems like an amazing fall/winter polish to me! As always, the formula was perfect and there was no staining or issues with it even though it was a rather pigmented red.

Next up is Dioptase, the most majestic of all colors in the world. I was extra excited when I saw this polish because I've been looking for a good green/teal for Eagles nails, and this one just looked perfect! I still can't get over it. It has the perfect amount of holo glitters and it just makes me so happy inside. So happy.

I swear that's a 9 and not a lowercase g. I SWEAR. This polish just is so perfect to me. It's so deep and squishy and yet it requires so few coats to look that way! It's like having all of the good parts of jellies and none of the bad parts. I used two coats on all nails and attempted to free-hand a 9 using Alpine Snow (OPI). The font the Eagles use is apparently very hard to reproduce with an OPI brush though. As always, very little clean-up and great dry time! Definitely a go-to polish for fall and winter for me.

Next up is Lapis Lazuli! I was so surprised when I saw this polish for so many reasons (all good ones, I promise!) Firstly, I was amazed that, despite blue being the color I have the most of, none of them were close to this shade! That's always exciting to me to get an entirely new color in my collection. The next thing that was super excited was the little pearly gold flakes swimming around in there...I almost died. And if they looked pretty in the bottle? They looked even more amazing on nails.

What did I tell you? Not to mention my phone's camera is not very great, so all of these are even more mind-shattering in person! One thing that I really loved about this (besides every single thing about it, which I also loved) was that it's sheer enough to layer on other things and opaque enough that it isn't a pain to work up to opacity alone. That sentence doesn't really make sense, but hopefully the pictures kind of show you what I mean! I used one coat alone on my thumb (it was even, but gave it more of a jelly look than two coats did), one coat over Blue Lagoon (also Nvr Enuff) on my pointer finger, two coats alone on my middle finger, and one coat over Limitless (Pure Nail Polish) on my pinky. My ring finger is a gradient using Princeton (ILNP Brand), Sporty (Nvr Enuff), and Autumn (Enchanted Polish) to bring out the iridescent shards. Needless to say, just sheer love.

Iolite is probably one of my favorite polishes ever. The color combination is so classic and perfect, and I'm such a sucker for deep, vampy shades like this. It's such a deep purple (similar to Posh in it photographing a little darker than it really is) that it looks black in some lighting - which I looove. Plus the silver flakes just make it so unique and just ajwafiwje amazing.

I'm gonna go ahead and just blow your mind right now. All of my nails have one coat. No top coat, no clean-up, just joy. Despite having flakies in it, it dried super fast and glossy and SOOO opaque in one coat! I'm such a happy clam. I used Perle (Dior) to make a random stripe on each nail since it dries matte and I liked the contrast. Now you see why this is one of my favorites ever! So low-maintenance but so stunning.

I was so excited to use Opal because it's my momma's birthstone and because it's one of those polishes that just looks amazing over everything! This picture didn't really do it justice, so I got another inside later that I'll have at the bottom. This flakie topper just brings out every color in the rainbow, dries so fast, and makes any boring mani so much more intricate and neat.

I really wish the sun didn't wash out my pictures as much on this one, it looks so majestic and unicorn-like in the sun! One thing that I really love about this polish (and I tried to show in these swatches) is that it can really work for any season. I used it over spring colors on my middle finger and a deep red on my pinky - it really looks amazing on anything! I used one coat over Limitless (Pure Nail Polish) on my thumb, two coats alone on my pointer finger, one coat over a random sponging of Princeton, Cutie Pop, Music Box, and Dreaming in Violet (all ILNP Brand) on my middle finger, one coat over Alpine Snow (OPI) on my ring finger (P.S. this nail was way drop dead gorgeous in person), and one coat over Killer Curves (Color Club) on my pinky. Great dry time and it applied much more evenly than flakie toppers like this normally do!

Black Opal is another amazing polish, as I'm sure you assumed from my ranting. While it isn't as versatile as it's clear-based twin, it is an amazing base for galaxy nails and a nice twist on basic black nails. It's basically a win-win-win!

Black Opal was so much fun to play with, I'm still thinking of fun new ways to use it! Clearly everyone else agreed, as it's currently sold out, but it might be making a comeback soon. For these nails, I used one coat over Limitless (Pure Nail Polish) on my thumb and middle fingers, three coats alone on my pointer finger, one coat over Elephant Walk (China Glaze) on my ring finger, and one coat alone on my pinky. I really loved all of these looks, but I think my favorite was one coat over black! It still looked deep and squishy like it was layered but it saved polish and dried more quickly with fewer coats. Still though, any combination that involves this polish is going to be amazing!

Overall, another home run from Nvr Enuff. Nvr Enuff Polish - Spice World Collection Review!

Hello again, friends! Sorry I'm being so sporadic with blog posts, I've had some crazy family stuff coming up recently that's keeping my mind occupied. But I do have two new Nvr Enuff collections to review for you all today! First up is the Spice World collection which, as you may have guessed, was inspired by the five sassy members of the Spice Girls. And as if I didn't love the Spice Girls enough already, this collection only increased my love exponentially.

Aren't they glorious already? And let me tell you, as much as I have always loved Nvr Enuff, these two collections blew me away even more than normal. The formulas were somehow even better than before, the colors even more astounding, I can't even begin to gush enough about them. But we'll get to that in a bit!

A baby pink crelly with tiny iridescent glitters (two coats for opaqueness)

First up in the Spice World collection is Baby! I was always compared to Baby as a kid because I was blonde and everyone thought I was sweet, which was really annoying, but there's nothing annoying about this beauty! Both my sister and I rushed to try this on as soon as I opened my swatching package BECAUSE LOOK AT IT. Not to mention, neither of us are very pink people.

Super duper in love with this color. Can't even. I CANNOT. I used two coats on all nails except my accent which is two coats of Alpine Snow (OPI) and a wonderful, free-handed pink ribbon using Baby. I finished this swatch on October 1st and I felt it was fitting to begin the month with a Breast Cancer Awareness mani using this gorgeous shade of pink. The formula is very similar to Matin from the Light Collection, although a little easier to apply. The iridescent glitters make it a little thicker than other polishes, not dissimilar to a glow-in-the-dark polish, if you've used those. But still, by no means difficult to apply.

Next up in this swatching marathon is Scary! Again, this polish just killed me. The coloring and metallic-like look is just magnificent for fall! I just love everything about it. While it is "intended" to be worn as a topper, it also just looks beautiful alone. Not to mention it wasn't difficult at all to build up to opaqueness!

RIGHT? Do you see how perfect it is? I tried to show a range of uses for Scary in these swatches, so there's a lot of different views for you! I used three coats alone on my thumb and middle finger, one coat alone with a French tip of Vampires Suck (Enchanted Polish) on my pointer finger, one coat over Vampires Suck on my ring finger, and one coat over Hot Chocolate for Unicorns (Enchanted Polish) on my pinky. This was an amazing formula, as you may have expected. The dry time was great, the coverage was fantastic, just all around lovely.

Sporty is another absolute must-have from this collection. It's such an amazing color and, I believe, a staple for any nail polish addict! My favorite part about this polish might be the difference between shade and sun. In the shade, it's such a delicate and simple blue, but in the sun it's such a knock-out holo! I just love the versatility that it brings for me.

Where do I even begin with this? First of all, when I first saw pictures of this color, I was a little confused. I thought it was strange that they would make a color that was so similar to a previous color (Apres-Midi), but after receiving it in person I could definitely see the difference! I would also like to point out another miraculous note on this polish, along with most of this collection. This is two coats on all of my nails (except my accent which is Alpine Snow and a black striper). Two coats, no clean-up around my nails, no top coat. The formula was so excellent that I really didn't need anything else. It dried amazingly fast, it was super shiny, it was so even that I didn't need any clean-up. In everyday wear I would probably still use a topcoat just to make sure it didn't chip, but it's just amazing that it's so perfect!

Up next is Ginger! I love how unique this red is with hints of pink and some blue iridescent glitters in it. These ladies never cease to amaze me with their ability to make so many perfect and unique reds! As you might expect if you remember my love for red polishes, this is also an absolute favorite of mine.

This whole collection was ridiculous to swatch, each polish became my new favorite as I went on swatching! Ginger was no exception to this strange phenomenon. And again, this was two coats of Ginger with no clean-up! My accent nail is Blue Lagoon from Nvr Enuff that they were sweet enough to send me as a thank you for my continued support and swatching. I'm not entirely sure if they're releasing it for sale any time soon, but it was also two beautiful coats. Since there was a little more glitter on this one, I did use top coat for these, but it actually had a cool, semi-textured look without it!

Last, but certainly not least, is Posh! While beautiful in the bottle, this polish is something else on the nails. It has a similar, undefinable quality to Sporty in that it is entirely different in different lighting. In the shade it's such a deep plum purple that it looks nearly pitch black, while in the sunlight it's a gorgeous pearlescent purple! I cannot even imagine how amazing this would be for stamping!

Disclaimer: this actually did look a little more purple than this in the sun, my camera couldn't quite capture it. Now, I know this swatch looks like all of the nails are Posh by itself, but you might be surprised to find out that that is not true! I anticipated it being much more sheer/jelly when I saw the color, for some reason, so I had polishes under many of these coats to see how it would effect the base color. But the polish was so opaque and glorious that you can barely tell! This both made me sad that I couldn't get different effects, and very happy that it was so opaque and magnificent in such a small amount of coats. My thumb and middle finger are two coats alone, my pointer finger is one coat over Iolite (also Nvr Enuff, look forward to this beauty in the Minerals Rock! Collection post!), my ring finger is one coat over Limitless (Pure Nail Polish), and my pinky is one coat over Undenied (ILNP Brand). as before, very little/no clean-up necessary and a wonderfully glossy finish.

Overall, this collection knocked my socks off. They continue to deliver amazing colors, fantastic quality, great pricing, and wonderful customer service.
