Nvr Enuff Polish - The Pagemaster Collection Review! (Picture Heavy)

What is this, two posts in one day!? I must really love you guys. Or I don't want to accidentally let another three weeks slip by before I post this one...Next up in Blogfest 2014 is the Pagemaster Collection from Nvr Enuff Polish! In case you're too young or forgetful to know what that is, The Pagemaster was an awesome and underrated movie from back in 1994 about a lame kid who gets turned into a cartoon and has to overcome his own insecurities and hang out with cool books before he can go back to his boring life. Okay, so maybe I'm not a movie-describer for a good reason, but I swear it's a legit movie and these polishes just make it even more so!

So much love going on in this picture. So very much. Fair warning for you, the top two polishes in this collection are actually currently completely sold out. With any luck, not to mention stalking of @nvrenuffpolish on Instagram, you may get lucky and see them back in stock soon!

The Pagemaster is The Pagemaster - based off the wonder that is the keeper of the books and stories, we have this blue, purple, orange to red multichrome with some added real silver coated flakes.
Best worn one coat over black, but is also opaque in three thin coats
First up in this collection is the namesake, The Pagemaster. This probably my favorite multichrome that I own, it has so many colors that I wouldn't expect to see together, and I love it! And I think they totally nailed it on the inspiration, this enigmatic shade is so Pagemaster-y!

Sadly, there was no sun outside for me to take some super awesome shiny pictures of this, but I promise when it comes back out, I will get right on that! Really, all you need to know is that this polish is perfect. I added my little video to show a little bit better what all of the different colors are that it transforms into since the pictures really only show blue and purple, but I swear I discover new ones every time the light hits it differently! Amazin'. For these pictures, I used two coats over one coat of Limitless (Pure Nail Polish) on my thumb and middle finger, one coat over Lady of the Lake (A England) on my pointer finger, three coats alone on my ring finger, and two coats over Lucid (Pure Nail Polish) on my pinky. All nails that had a base coat have French-ish tips using the original color to show the difference after The Pagemaster. I had no issues with application or formula on this guy, as you would expect from Lynnae and Alix!

Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde is based off of the gentleman the characters meet after encountering Horror from the movie "The Pagemaster" - Starting out just sweet as Mr Jekyll with the linear holo, then ending just as chaotic as Mr Hyde with the massive amount of real Silver Coated flakes. This multichrome shifts from blue to green to purple perfectly representing that which is Dr Jekyll & Mr Hyde
Best worn one to two coats over black
I love this polish so muuuuch. Again, not trying to brag since it's currently sold out, but you ladies need to stalk them to try to get your hands on this! I already have a weakness for multichromes (let's face it, what don't I have a weakness for?), but the glitters in this one just did me in. This is Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, and it is very mad scientist-y.

I'm still so annoyed that my skin tone changes color like three times in that video, but at least you can see all of the shifty goodness! I couldn't completely capture the blue shift in this, but the green and purple are very clear, if nothing else. For these swatches, I used two coats of Mint Sorbet (Sally Hansen Xtreme Wear) on my thumb, one coat of Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde over two coats of Mint Sorbet on my pointer, three coats of Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde alone on my middle finger, one coat of Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde over Limitless (Pure Nail Polish) on my ring finger, and one coat of Limitless on my pinky. These pictures make the polish look really streaky and uneven over Mint Sorbet, but it really looked very seamless and delicate in person! I wanted to show it over both a light and a dark polish because I thought that was very Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde-y of me, hopefully you'll agree! As always, this polish had no formula issues, it was a breeze to apply.

Fantasy is based off the book Fantasy from the movie "The Pagemaster" - This Lavender/pink cream polish has a wonderful golden/pink shimmer flake

Up next is Fantasy! This is such a perfect purple/pink shimmery bucket of love, I just smile thinking about it. And not many things make me smile that easily. I think this perfectly sums up the fairy-ish girly Fantasy from the movie! I bet she would polish her book pages with this color.

In case you guys didn't know, I love this polish. I think it makes my skin look really good and it was just so fun and girly to play with! For all of these pictures, I used two coats of Fantasy on all nails. My middle finger has one coat of Nobody Asked You, PATRICE (365 Days of Color) and one coat of Holo Wasted (Painted Polish), my pointer finger has a glitter gradient using Dashboard Dancing (Loaded Lacquer), and my pinky has two coats of The Pagemaster over it. I was really happy with how this came out! This polish has amazing application, better even than the others, and they're not bad by any definition. I really had so little clean up to do for these, it was astounding!

Adenture is based off the book Adventure from the movie "The Pagemaster" - This bright red polish is packed full of gold flakies and pink/red shimmer

Adventure! This fiery red with all of its adventurous gold shimmers really sums up Adventure from the movie. It's very sassy and just drop dead gorgeous. Before I start, I just want to point out that, carefully applied, THIS COULD BE ONE COAT. Freak out and scream now. I was amazed at how opaque it was since it looks like it would build in a couple coats, but I barely had any nail showing after one. I'm always looking for more go-to reds, and this just made the top of my list!

This is probably my favorite non-multichrome of the collection. That is honestly soooo hard to say since I really love them all. I kind of stared at this polish for a while before I could think of anything to do with it (other than paint everything I own with it), but I saw an envelope that my best friend had given me for Lunar New Year, and it was the perfect inspiration. Since this polish already had gold flakes in it, it worked out really well! For these pictures, all nails except my accent nail have two coats of Adventure with a dry brush gradient using West End Wonderland (Butter London). My accent nail is two coats of Love. Angel. Music. Baby. (OPI) with the same glitter gradient over it. I was so happy with how these came out, I couldn't stop staring at them! As you might suspect from my rant about one coat, the formula on this was pristine, no problems at all. And on top of that, this is probably the most opaque red that I own that caused no staining to my skin or nails whatsoever. Just magic.

Horror is based off the book Horror from the movie "The Pagemaster" - this Slate Blue jelly is filled with matte gray hex, bright blue hex and baby blue circles.

Last up in this funderful world of polish reviews is Horror. Horror always has sad endings! But not if it's this polish, because there is nothing sad about it. Unless you don't own it. That would make me sad. Every collection needs a good jelly, and here it is! And sure enough, this polish reminded me of something that I personally am horrified of - sharks.

Sorry I have a cut on my finger in this one, I slammed my hand in a door because I am not a smart person. Anyway, Horror! For this gooey, love-filled swatch, I used three coats of horror on all nails except my middle finger. On my middle finger, I used two coats of Apres-Midi with a little Matin shark fin (both polishes are also Nvr Enuff). I felt that this was fitting since it was Shark Week and I'm absolutely terrified of sharks. To sum up, this polish is fantastic. It combines two of my favorite colors to wear (blue and grey), and it just looks so squishy and deep. The formula and dry time were fantastic as always.

Overall, I would snag as many of the remaining polishes as you can! This collection has basically become a staple for me, and with 700 polishes, that's saying quite a bit. These polishes were provided for be at a severe discount for my honest review, and I honestly love them! I think you ladies will too, so make sure you head over to http://nvrenuffpolish.bigcartel.com/ and grab some! All polishes are $8.75 each (15ml)/$3.75 each (5ml) for the remaining few shades. Don't let them sell out before you grab one!
